Job Description:
As a Freight Broker, you’ll play a critical role in managing day-to-day brokerage operations, carrier relationships, and shipment execution. This position requires strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills to ensure freight moves safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage carrier assignment, driver dispatching, and daily load execution.
Build and maintain strong carrier relationships to ensure reliable capacity.
Negotiate carrier rates and manage costs in a dynamic freight market.
Proactively track shipments and communicate updates to customers.
Ensure compliance with DOT laws, regulations, and internal procedures.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, quotes, and carrier performance.

Experience and Requirements:

2+ years of experience in truckload dispatch or freight brokerage operations.
Solid understanding of DOT laws and transportation compliance.
Experience using freight booking platforms (e.g., Truckstop, DAT).
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to adapt to market changes.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Reliable, self-starter with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
Experience managing carrier networks or dedicated fleets preferred.
Positive customer feedback or proven success in meeting service KPIs preferred.
