The HVAC Service Technician Helper supports the service team in the startup, inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This role is essential in ensuring safe, efficient equipment operation while delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. The Helper works closely with experienced technicians to develop skills and contribute to the service department's overall success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist lead technicians with service calls, maintenance, and equipment repairs
Support system startup, inspections, and performance testing
Help diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in clean, safe working condition
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA guidelines
Assist with installation of HVAC components and systems as needed
Accurately document work performed and materials used
Provide professional and courteous interaction with customers on job sites
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Participate in ongoing training and development programs
Experience and Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Technical school or HVAC certification preferred (or currently enrolled)
Basic understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical aptitude
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass background check and drug screening (if applicable)
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
Good communication and teamwork skills
