Job Description:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for delivering responsive customer support on commodity products and driving sales of both commodity and warehouse inventory items.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and professionally to inbound customer phone calls.
- Support the Account Management team by assisting with customer inquiries and requests as needed.
- Process customer orders received via phone, email, and in-person walk-ins.
- Monitor shipment status, track orders, and communicate updates to customers upon request.
- Assist customers with warranty claims and freight-related issues.
- Coordinate deliveries for customer projects to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Support warehouse operations by assisting with order picking when required.
- Accurately enter sales orders into the accounting system.
- Review and maintain open orders on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy and closure.
- Process customer returns and issue corresponding credits.
- Prepare and process outbound UPS shipments.
Experience and Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; education or experience in the HVAC industry preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of B2B or B2C sales experience, including direct warehouse sales experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated customer service experience with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- HVAC product knowledge preferred.
- Prior HVAC warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience using Oracle software is a plus.
